4. Server log files

The hosting provider automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser transmits automatically. These are in particular: browser type and version, operating system used, referrer URL, hostname of the accessing computer, time of the server request and IP address. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a technically error-free presentation and security of the website).

5. Hosting and Content Delivery Network (Cloudflare)

This website is delivered via the Content Delivery Network (CDN) and security services of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Cloudflare delivers our content through a globally distributed server network, speeds up page loading and protects the website from attacks (e.g. DDoS) and abuse.

When you access our pages, your request is technically routed through Cloudflare's servers. In doing so, Cloudflare processes in particular your IP address as well as information about the browser and operating system you use, in order to deliver the content and ensure the security of the website. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure, fast and reliable provision of this website).

A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR has been concluded with Cloudflare. As Cloudflare is based in the USA, a transfer of personal data to the USA may occur. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; in addition, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses have been agreed with the provider to ensure an adequate level of data protection. 6. Contacting us (phone, email, form)

When you contact us by phone, email or via the contact form, your details are stored by us in order to process the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We process in particular: name, email address, phone number, requested service, location and the content of your message.

The contact form is sent via our email service provider ZeptoMail (Zoho Corporation B.V., Beneluxlaan 4B, 3527 HT Utrecht, Netherlands), which delivers the message on our behalf. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the provider; processing takes place on servers within the EU. To protect against spam, the form contains a hidden field (honeypot) that does not collect any personal data.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR (initiation or performance of a contract) and Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in efficiently processing your inquiry).

7. Storage period

Your data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the purposes for which it was collected, provided that no statutory retention obligations (e.g. under commercial or tax law) apply.

8. Web fonts (locally hosted)

To display fonts consistently, this website uses the typefaces “Montserrat” and “Oswald”. They are loaded exclusively from our own server. There is no connection to third-party servers (in particular not to Google), and no personal data is transmitted to third parties.

9. Map display (OpenStreetMap)

To display our service area, we embed a map from the OpenStreetMap service on individual pages. The provider is the OpenStreetMap Foundation (OSMF), St John's Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge, CB4 0WS, United Kingdom.

The map is loaded automatically when the page is opened. This establishes a connection to the OpenStreetMap servers (and to the Leaflet library, provided via unpkg.com) and transmits your IP address to these providers. This is technically necessary to display the map content in your browser. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in an appealing presentation of our service area).

10. SSL / TLS encryption

For security reasons, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by “https://” in your browser’s address bar.

11. Cookies

This website sets no cookies for analytics, tracking or advertising purposes. Neither Google Analytics nor Meta Pixel nor comparable cookie-based tracking services are used. For audience measurement we use only the cookieless tool Fathom Analytics (see section 12). A cookie banner is therefore not required.

12. Web analytics with Fathom Analytics

For statistical analysis of visitor traffic we use Fathom Analytics, a service provided by Conva Ventures Inc., 26 Bastion Square, Third Floor Burnes House, Victoria, British Columbia V8W 1H9, Canada. Visitor data from the EU is processed exclusively on servers within the European Union (Germany) by way of the provider’s EU isolation; IP addresses of EU visitors do not leave the EU. Where a transfer to Canada does take place, it is based on the European Commission’s adequacy decision C(2001) 4539 pursuant to Art. 45 GDPR. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the provider.

Fathom works without cookies and without cross-device recognition. No personal data is stored: your IP address is not retained but only briefly used to generate an anonymous, daily-rotating counter value. Only aggregated information is recorded, such as page visited, referrer, device type, browser, operating system and country. Identifying individuals or tracking them across websites is not possible.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in privacy-friendly statistical analysis and improvement of our website pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. As no information is stored on or read from your device, no consent under Section 25 TDDDG is required.

13. Contact via WhatsApp

Our website contains links to WhatsApp (wa.me). Only when you actively click such a link is a connection established to the servers of WhatsApp Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland. We do not embed any WhatsApp content in our pages; without a click, no data is transmitted.

If you contact us via WhatsApp, we process your phone number, profile name and the content of your message in order to handle your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). WhatsApp independently processes metadata; a transfer to third countries, in particular the USA, cannot be ruled out. If you wish to avoid this, please use our contact form, e-mail or telephone.
